How many days

Half a day covers the Grand-Place, the carnival museum and the walk along the walls to the palace ruins. A full day allows you to see everything at a relaxed pace and combine the visit with Mons.

When to go

The museum and the walls can be visited year-round. The town fills up on the days of the Binche Carnival, in February or March; outside that period the center is quiet. Spring and summer usually offer the longest, driest days for walking the walls.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

No. The center is small and everything is within walking distance from the station. A car only helps if you want to combine Binche with other places in Hainaut on the same day.
