About Water Country USA
Water Country USA opened in 1984 in York County, near Williamsburg, and is the largest water park in Virginia. It is owned by the same group as Busch Gardens Williamsburg and features surf- and beach-themed decor inspired by the 1950s and 1960s.
The park has more than 40 attractions, including drop slides, family raft slides and the Cutback, a water coaster. The wave pool and lazy river are for those who want to relax, and the shallow areas with small slides and tipping buckets are aimed at young children.
The park rents cabanas and has several snack stands. On some summer nights the park stays open after dark with lighting and music.
The season runs from May to September, with reduced operating days at the beginning and end of the season.
