About Whale's Tale Waterpark
Whale's Tale Waterpark has operated for more than 30 years in Lincoln on about 7 hectares beside Route 3, at the foot of the Franconia mountains. It is open only in summer.
Attractions include drop and raft slides, like the Plunge, one of the fastest, a wave pool, a lazy river for tube rides and Akua Beach, a surf simulator where you learn to stand on a board over a jet of water. For very young children there are shallow areas with low slides and water play features, such as Whale Harbor.
Grassy areas and picnic tables make it easy to spend the whole day, and there are snack stands in the park. Lifeguards monitor all attractions.
The park closes during lightning storms, common on summer afternoons in the mountains, and reopens when the weather improves.
