About Medora Musical
The Medora Musical has been performed since the 1960s at the Burning Hills Amphitheatre, an outdoor amphitheater built into the slope of a badlands hill west of Medora. From there, the audience sees the stage with the striped hills in the background.
The show mixes country and popular songs, dance, comedy, and tributes to Theodore Roosevelt and the history of the West, with a cast of singers and musicians and guest artists. An outdoor escalator takes spectators from the entrance up to the seats.
Performances take place in the late afternoon and evening from June to September, and the sunset over the badlands is part of the experience.
