About Science Museum of Minnesota
The Science Museum of Minnesota occupies a building on the bluff above the Mississippi River in downtown Saint Paul, with windows overlooking the valley. It is an interactive museum aimed at families, with exhibits in paleontology, physics, the human body, maps and the environment.
The dinosaur gallery has mounted skeletons, such as a triceratops and a diplodocus, and a visible fossil lab. The Omnitheater, a dome theater, shows nature and science documentaries, and an outdoor area in summer demonstrates the river and the locks’ operation.
Temporary exhibitions usually present popular themes and require a separate ticket.
