About Discovery World

Discovery World is on the shore of Lake Michigan next to the Milwaukee Art Museum, in a building with glass facades facing the water. It is a science and technology museum aimed at children and teens, with hands-on activities in engineering, health and the environment.

On the lower level, aquariums display fish from the Great Lakes and saltwater reefs, with a glass tunnel under one of the tanks. Exhibits tell the stories of shipwrecks and navigation on the Great Lakes.

On the upper level, tech labs and workshops host children and teens, and the windows overlook the lake and the art museum pavilion.
