About Sand Harbor
Sand Harbor is part of Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park and sits on the lake’s east shore, south of Incline Village. It is one of Lake Tahoe’s most photographed coves, with rounded granite rocks rising from very clear water in shades of green and blue.
Two sandy beaches lie in sheltered coves, and a wooden boardwalk runs over the rocks with panels about the lake’s natural features. The water is usually cold even in summer. Kayak and paddleboard rentals are available in season.
In summer, an outdoor Shakespeare festival uses a stage by the beach. Parking is small compared with demand and often fills early on summer weekends; a bus and a lakeside bike path help with access.
