About Logan Pass
Logan Pass is the highest point on the Going-to-the-Sun Road, at 2,026 meters, where it crosses the Continental Divide. It sits between Clements and Pollock peaks in alpine meadows that bloom from late July through August.
From the pass visitor center the trail to the Hidden Lake overlook departs—about 4.5 km round trip, partly on boardwalks—leading to a view of the lake framed by rock walls. Mountain goats and bighorn sheep frequently appear on the trail and in the meadows. The Highline, longer, follows the Garden Wall slope, with narrow sections next to the cliff.
Snow often covers trails into July, and the pass parking lot fills early on summer days.
