About Arab American National Museum
The Arab American National Museum is in downtown Dearborn, a city with one of the largest Arab-origin communities in the United States, made up of immigrants from Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Iraq and Palestine who came to work in the automobile factories.
The exhibits tell the story of these families’ arrival from the late 19th century, the contributions of Arab Americans to science, music, sport and politics, and community life in Dearborn. Personal objects, photos and recorded testimonies put faces to that history.
The building, with an interior courtyard decorated with tiles, hosts temporary art exhibitions and cultural programs. After your visit, Warren Avenue, a few kilometers away, has bakeries and restaurants of the community.
