About Water World
Water World is in Federal Heights, north of Denver, and is one of the largest water parks in the United States. It is operated by a regional public parks district and runs during the summer season.
The park covers a large area with dozens of attractions: water slides of various sizes, group raft rides, lazy rivers, wave pools, and areas for young children with shallow slides and water jets. Some attractions have minimum height requirements.
Because Denver has a hot, dry summer, the park tends to be crowded on July and August weekends, and lines for the larger slides grow throughout the day.
