About Klyde Warren Park
Klyde Warren Park was built over the Woodall Rodgers Freeway, which separated downtown Dallas from the Uptown neighborhood. A deck covers the road for about two blocks, and the park occupies the surface, connecting the arts district to the northern part of the city.
The park has lawns, gardens, a children’s area with splash fountains, a stage, chess tables and an outdoor library. Food trucks stop along the park every day, and programming includes yoga classes, concerts and outdoor movies, almost always free of charge.
The park sits between the Dallas Museum of Art and the Perot Museum and is a meeting spot for locals at lunchtime and in the late afternoon.
