About Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden
The Dallas Arboretum covers about 26 hectares on the shore of White Rock Lake, northeast of downtown. The gardens have flower beds that change with the seasons, fountains, a woodland and two historic homes open to visitors.
In spring, the Dallas Blooms festival usually fills the garden with tulips, azaleas and other flowers, with hundreds of thousands of bulbs. In autumn, the garden sets up a pumpkin village, and at year’s end there are Christmas decorations. The Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden offers hands-on science and nature activities for kids.
From the arboretum’s lawns, you get views across White Rock Lake with downtown Dallas in the background.
