About Kings Island

Kings Island opened in 1972 and is one of the largest amusement parks in the American Midwest, with a scaled replica of the Eiffel Tower at the center that offers views over the entire park. It is known for its roller coasters: The Beast, from 1979, is one of the longest wooden coasters in the world, and the steel Orion features drops over 90 meters.

The Planet Snoopy kids’ area has rides for small children featuring the Peanuts characters, and there are shows, classic attractions and themed areas. The Soak City water park, inside the complex, has a wave pool, lazy river and slides, and is included with admission on the days it operates.

In autumn, the Halloween Haunt takes over the nights with haunted houses, and at the end of the year there is a winter celebration with lights on selected dates. The park is operated by Six Flags.
