About MIT Museum
The MIT Museum showcases the work of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, founded in 1861 and known for research in engineering, science and technology. In 2022 the museum moved to a new building in Kendall Square at the campus entrance.
The galleries display robots created at the institute, one of the world’s largest hologram collections, projects in artificial intelligence and biology, and Arthur Ganson’s kinetic sculptures, machines that move slowly. There are public labs with hands-on activities.
From the museum a walk leads to campus buildings such as the Great Dome by the Charles River and Frank Gehry’s Stata Center.
