About Breckenridge Ski Resort
Breckenridge’s ski resort opened in 1961 and occupies five peaks of the Tenmile Range, numbered 6 through 10. The bases are a few minutes from the historic center, linked by a gondola.
The runs range from beginner areas in the lower section to open bowls above the tree line. The Imperial Express lift climbs to about 3,900 meters, one of the highest points served by lift in North America, and provides access to difficult terrain. The lower area features wide runs and ski schools.
In summer, Peak 8 hosts attractions such as an alpine coaster, zip lines, and hiking and biking trails.
