The city
Small historic town on an island in the Krka River, connected to the banks by bridges, with the churches of Saint James and Saint Nicholas. 1.5 km away, the former Cistercian monastery has become the Božidar Jakac Gallery, surrounded by the Forma Viva oak sculpture park. Nearby is the Kostanjevica cave, open in season.

The local experience
Museum of modern and contemporary art in the former Cistercian monastery of Kostanjevica, founded in 1234, with long cloister arcades and, in the surrounding park, more than 100 oak sculptures from Forma Viva.
