About Baie-Sainte-Marguerite
Sainte-Marguerite Bay lies on the north shore of the Saguenay fjord, about 25 km from Tadoussac. It's part of Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park, with a discovery centre, trails and a campground.
In summer, the bay is frequented by belugas, which often come in with their calves. A roughly 3 km trail through the forest leads to a lookout over the bay, where park guides help with wildlife viewing. The discovery centre explains the life of the St. Lawrence belugas, an isolated and protected population.
The park charges an entrance fee. Sightings depend on the animals and the tide; check the season and the current schedule.
