About Baie-Éternité and Cap Trinité

Baie-Éternité is an inlet on the south shore of the Saguenay Fjord, between two of the fjord’s largest cliffs: Cape Trinité and Cape Éternité. It is a sector of the Saguenay Fjord National Park, managed by Sépaq, with a discovery center, trails and camping.

On a terrace of Cape Trinité stands the statue of Notre-Dame-du-Saguenay, a wooden statue covered with cladding, about 8 meters tall, installed in 1881 by the promise of a traveler who escaped an accident on the ice. A trail climbs to the statue and to viewpoints over the fjord. The sector also has a via ferrata, with passages fixed to the cliffs, and longer trails along the ridges.

Sightseeing boats on the fjord pass in front of Cape Trinité. The park charges an entrance fee; check the season and the current fee schedule.
