About Clear Lake
Clear Lake is the best-known lake in Riding Mountain National Park, stretched east–west. The name comes from the transparent water, which reveals the bottom near the shores. Wasagaming sits on the south shore, with a sandy beach, lawns, a long pier and a marina.
In summer the lake offers tour boats, kayaks, paddleboards and canoes, and the beach attracts swimmers on warm days. Sunset viewed from the pier is one of the village’s most popular activities.
The South Shore trail follows the shoreline through stands of birch and fir, with benches and lookouts, and the Clear Lake Trail circles the entire lake, about 25 km, for hikers and cyclists.
