The city
What to expect from Fort Simpson.
A Dene village on an island at the confluence of the Liard and Mackenzie Rivers, one of the oldest communities in the Northwest Territories, with a trading post since the early 19th century. It is the base for flights to Nahanni Park and for South Nahanni river trips.
