About De Schorre

De Schorre is a provincial recreational domain of Antwerp province, covering about 75 hectares in Boom. It occupies former clay pits, quarried for centuries for the Rupel brickworks; the pits filled with water and became lakes surrounded by woodlands.

The park has walking and running trails, leisure areas, pedal boats and mini golf. Over the years it has gained permanent works linked to Tomorrowland, such as the wooden One World Bridge and the mosaic staircase of the amphitheater, as well as giant wooden trolls by Danish artist Thomas Dambo, hidden in the woods.

In summer the domain hosts Tomorrowland, and part of the park closes for several weeks for setup and teardown. For the rest of the year it is a place for locals and visitors to stroll.

The Rupel regional tourist office operates within the domain and indicates walking and cycling routes along the river dikes.
