How many days

One day for the Edison and Ford homes and the riverside downtown; two days to add Six Mile Cypress Slough and Lovers Key State Park.

When to go

From December to April, with dry, mild weather. From June to September it’s very hot and it rains almost every afternoon. The hurricane season runs from June to November.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

Yes. The Edison and Ford homes are close to downtown, but the parks, beaches and Sanibel are farther away, and public transport is limited.
