The city
An industrial town of about 26,000 inhabitants at the confluence of the Váh and Revúca rivers, at the western entrance to Liptov. From here you can go up to Vlkolínec, the UNESCO-listed log village a few kilometers to the south, and to Malinô Brdo, a mountain of the Veľká Fatra with a cable car that starts in the Hrabovo neighborhood. The town has a station on the country’s main railway line.
