About Lions Lookout
Lions Lookout is on a granite hill above the Muskoka River, just above downtown Huntsville. From the top you can see the town, the main street bridge, Fairy Lake and the surrounding forested hills.
The site has benches, a small park and interpretive signs about the area. It’s a short walk from downtown with a climb, and you can also drive close to the top. In autumn the lookout is one of the most popular spots to view Muskoka’s fall colours without leaving town.
Late in the day, the low light illuminates the lakes and river. In winter the view opens further with the trees bare.
