The city
The main town at Newfoundland’s northern tip, on a sheltered Atlantic harbor. It preserves the legacy of Dr. Wilfred Grenfell—his house is now a museum—and has Fishing Point, a lookout for seasonal icebergs and whales. The Viking site of L'Anse aux Meadows and Norstead are about 50 km away.
