About Musée de Charlevoix
The Charlevoix Museum is in Pointe-au-Pic on the shore of the Saint Lawrence. It is the regional museum and tells the story of Charlevoix: indigenous peoples, French colonization, rural life and the era of 19th-century grand summer resorts.
The collection is known for folk art, with wood sculptures, paintings and objects made by local artists, many without formal training. Temporary exhibitions cover local topics, such as the meteorite crater, river navigation and festival traditions.
The museum has a small garden with river views. Check opening days and the current fees.
