About Parlee Beach
Parlee Beach is in Shediac, about 25 km from Moncton, and is part of a provincial park. The light sandy shoreline stretches for about 3 km along the Northumberland Strait, sheltered from the open ocean.
In summer, the strait’s water is often among the warmest in Atlantic Canada, which attracts families from the region. The beach has lifeguards in season, changing rooms, boardwalks across the dunes and picnic areas.
Shediac bills itself as the lobster capital of the world: at the town entrance there is a large lobster sculpture, and a lobster festival takes place in July. Check the park season and the current schedule.
