About Fundy National Park
Fundy National Park was established in 1948 and protects a stretch of plateau and coastline of New Brunswick facing the Bay of Fundy. The forest mixes fir, birch and maple, cut by rivers that tumble in waterfalls down to the sea.
The most visited trails are short: Dickson Falls Trail, through a damp valley of mosses and ferns, and Third Vault Falls Trail, longer, to the park’s highest waterfall. On the coast, pebble beaches and tidal pools expose the seafloor when the water recedes. The park also has lakes for paddling, a golf course, a heated saltwater pool and campgrounds.
The village of Alma sits beside the east entrance, where the visitor centre is located. The park is a dark-sky reserve, and clear nights are usually good for stargazing. There is an admission fee; check the current fee schedule.
