About Naples Botanical Garden
The Naples Botanical Garden opened to the public in 2009, south of downtown Naples. It occupies about 70 hectares and is dedicated to plants from tropical and subtropical regions between 26 degrees north and south, the latitude band that includes Naples.
There is also a butterfly garden, a children’s garden and collections of orchids and bromeliads.
More than half of the area consists of restored native ecosystems, with trails and a boardwalk over the marsh where you can see water birds and, sometimes, turtles and alligators.
