About Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park
Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park occupies a stretch of beach in northern Naples, between the Gulf of Mexico and the mangrove channels, up to Wiggins Pass, the channel that connects the gulf to the estuary. The beach is about 1.6 km of white sand and generally calm water.
Picnic areas have shade from trees, and a lookout at the north end of the park offers views of the gulf, the channel and the mangroves. On the channel, anglers and boats pass all day, and dolphins are commonly seen.
From May to October, sea turtles nest on the beach, and nesting areas are marked and protected. There are sections where dogs are prohibited and rules for the use of chairs and umbrellas at night during that period.
