The city
Village at the far east end of Long Island, more rustic than the other Hamptons towns, with cliffs, surf beaches, a sportfishing harbor and the Montauk Point Lighthouse, the oldest in the state of New York. It has state parks with trails, such as Camp Hero and Hither Hills, and a small town center near the beach.
