Alboraya – Valencian Community Destination Valencia about 5 km from Valencia

How to get there

  • Aeropuerto de Valencia (VLC) Manises · 15 km
  • Estació de metro Alboraia-Palmaret 1 km

Approximate distances. Check flights and bus, train or boat schedules before you travel.

Valencia’s metro reaches Alboraia on lines 3 and 9, with stations in the town center; Patacona beach is served by Valencia city buses and can be reached on foot from La Malvarrosa. Valencia airport is about 15 km away.

How many days

Half a day is enough for the center, the church and the orchard. A full day allows you to add Patacona beach and the Ermita dels Peixets. It works well as a day trip from Valencia.

When to go

May to September is the busiest time for the beach and for horchata, a summer drink. Horchata Day takes place in July, and the Peixets pilgrimage is held on the Monday after Pentecost. The chufa harvest is in autumn.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

No. The metro and city buses connect Alboraia with Valencia, and the beach is explored on foot or by bicycle along the promenade. A car only helps to move along the orchard tracks.
