How many days

One day for the Dobšiná Ice Cave and a walk around the lake. With two days you can do one of the southern park trails.

When to go

From mid-May to early September, when the Dobšiná Ice Cave usually opens. Summer is good for hiking and, for those who tolerate cold water, swimming in the lake. In winter the lake freezes and the area attracts cross-country skiers.

The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.

Do you need a car?

It helps. The train stops in Dedinky and near the cave, but runs only a few times a day; by car, the cave, the lake and a viewpoint can fit in the same day.
