About Spa Thermes

The Thermes de Spa sit atop the hill Annette et Lubin, above the town center. They replaced the old 19th-century thermal baths down below in the Place Royale, and began receiving bathers at the start of this century.

The complex has about 800 square meters of pools, indoor and outdoor, fed by naturally mineral, heated water from the Clémentine spring. There are hydromassage jets, saunas, steam baths, relaxation areas and separate treatments such as carbonated water baths and peat wraps.

To go up, take the funicular that departs from the center, near the Place Royale, and the trip takes about two minutes, skirting the hill. Those who prefer to walk follow a trail beside the tracks, about a 15-minute ascent.

The hill's name commemorates Annette and Lubin, a pair of hermits who settled there in the 18th century and opened an open-air ballroom frequented by aristocrats who came for the cure.
