About Nature's Window
Nature's Window is a layered red-and-white sandstone natural arch on the rim of the Murchison River gorge in Kalbarri National Park, about 35 km from the village. Through the arch's opening you can see the river bending in the valley.
A trail of about 1 km return leads from the parking area to the arch, across stone slabs. From there departs The Loop circuit, about 8 km, which descends to the river and skirts a bend in the gorge, taking more time and effort.
Nearby is the Z Bend lookout, where the river makes a tight curve between cliffs. A trail descends from the lookout to the gorge floor.
The inland trails have no shade and the heat can be intense. In summer, some longer trails close during the hottest hours of the day.
