About Eagle Bluff
Eagle Bluff is a low cliff at the edge of the bay, about 20 km south of Denham. A wooden boardwalk runs along the cliff edge above shallow, very clear waters with sandbanks and seagrass meadows.
From above, it is common to see sharks, rays, turtles and schools of fish swimming in the shallow water. Dugongs, which feed on the bay’s seagrass, sometimes appear.
Opposite is a small island where osprey nest, which gave the place its name. Signs explain the marine life and the importance of the seagrass for the bay.
There is no entrance fee. The boardwalk is short and flat.
