The city

What to expect from Zug.

Capital of the small canton of Zug, on the north shore of Lake Zug, between Zurich and Lucerne. The historic center preserves the Zytturm, the clock tower with a blue-and-white roof, the Burg Zug, a castle that houses the city’s history museum, and fishermen’s houses along the water. Above the town, the Zugerberg offers trails and views over the lake and the Alps. Zug is the town of the Zuger Kirschtorte.
