About Garantido Grounds
Cidade Garantido is the headquarters of the boi-bumbá Garantido, the red and white boi symbolized by a heart. It is located in Baixa do São José, a traditional neighborhood on Parintins’ red side, from which the boi’s history originates.
The complex houses the Curral Lindolfo Monteverde, named in honor of Garantido’s founder. It is where the fans gather for rehearsals in the weeks leading up to the festival and for boi celebrations throughout the year.
In the sheds, Parintins artists build the allegories, costumes and moving modules used in the Bumbódromo arena, a process that occupies much of the year.
The visit shows the city’s red side and helps you understand the importance of the festival for island residents.
