The city

What to expect from Milho Verde.

Milho Verde is a district of Serro, between Serro and Diamantina, on the old Diamond Road of the Estrada Real. The village was founded at the beginning of the 18th century and is the birthplace of Chica da Silva, baptized in the chapel that gave rise to the Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora dos Prazeres. On top of a hill stands the Capela de Nossa Senhora do Rosário, made of wood and clay, and nearby waterfalls run into shallow pools among the fields of the Serra do Espinhaço.
