How many days
Two days for the Haute-Ville, the Basse-Ville, the Citadelle and the Plains of Abraham. The third day is for Montmorency Falls and Île d’Orléans.
When to go
From June to September, with terraces and festivals. Late September and October bring colorful foliage. In December the streets are decorated for Christmas; at the end of January and in February, the Carnival.
The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.
Do you need a car?
Not for the centre, which is walked on foot, with steep climbs. City buses reach Montmorency Falls. For Île d’Orléans, a car or organized tours are helpful.
