How many days
One day is enough for the pier, the promenade, the beach and Sea Life. With children, Blankenberge is good for a weekend. The town also serves as a base for visiting Bruges, 15 minutes away by train.
When to go
From July to August the beach and promenade tend to be crowded. June and September are usually quieter. In winter, from December to February, the water is cold and the wind is strong. The flower parade usually takes place at the end of August.
The seasons shown are the most usual ones; nature doesn't always follow the calendar.
Do you need a car?
No. The centre, the beach, the pier and Sea Life are within walking distance of the station, and the Kusttram and train link Blankenberge with Bruges and other seaside towns.
