The city
Island of about 7.5 km² in the middle of the Whitsundays archipelago, with its own airport, a marina and accommodation. No private cars circulate: transport is by golf carts and internal buses. Catseye Beach, on the north coast, is the main beach, and trails climb through the bush up to Passage Peak, with views over the islands. Boats depart from the marina to Whitehaven and to the reefs.
