About Yardie Creek
Yardie Creek is in the southern part of Cape Range National Park, about 90 km from Exmouth via the coastal road. It is a gorge of red limestone cliffs carved by a creek that meets the sea near the beach.
A short trail rises along the rim of the gorge, with viewpoints over the blue water between the cliffs. A boat trip goes up the creek and allows close views of the rocks and wildlife.
Black-footed rock-wallabies inhabit the cliffs; these small marsupials hop among the rocks and are often seen in the early morning and late afternoon. Birds such as eagles and herons fish in the creek.
The gorge is at the end of the park’s sealed road. Cape Range entry is paid per vehicle; check the current rates.
