About Leura Cascades
Leura Cascades lie within the Blue Mountains National Park, a few minutes from Leura town center. Leura Creek descends in small falls and pools between moss-covered rocks, ferns and rainforest trees before plunging into the Jamison Valley.
The Leura Cascades picnic area, with lawn and tables, is the starting point for several trails. One follows the creek down to the cascades; others run along the valley rim, with viewpoints such as Bridal Veil.
From here a section of the Prince Henry Cliff Walk begins — a trail that follows the valley rim between Leura and Katoomba and reaches Echo Point beside the Three Sisters, with several lookouts en route.
The trails include steps and wet sections; the path to the cascades is short but steep on the return.
