About Flinders Chase National Park

Flinders Chase National Park occupies the western end of Kangaroo Island, about 100 km from Kingscote. The visitor centre, along South Coast Road, sells passes, has a café and is the starting point for the park roads.

Remarkable Rocks is a group of enormous granite boulders perched on top of a rock dome above the sea, sculpted by wind and rain and covered in orange lichen. A boardwalk and lookout lead to the rocks.

At Cape du Couedic, near the lighthouse, a boardwalk descends to Admirals Arch, a sea-carved rock arch where sea lions rest on the rocks. The final section has steep steps.

The park also has short and medium trails, such as Platypus Waterholes and the Ravine, and camping areas with reservation. Entry is paid; check the current fee table.
