About Great Otway National Park

Great Otway National Park covers the mountains and coastline of the Otway region, between Torquay and Princetown. Constant rain keeps tall eucalyptus forests, southern beeches and tree ferns lush, along with dozens of waterfalls.

Near Apollo Bay, the Maits Rest walk is a short loop through a wet fern forest, with boardwalks over the creek. Further inland, the Otway Fly is a treetop walk with a lookout tower, operated by a private company.

The park also has secluded beaches, such as Johanna, and the Hopetoun and Triplet waterfalls. Forest roads are narrow and winding.
