About Katherine Hot Springs
The Katherine hot springs are on the Katherine River, a few minutes from town. Warm, clear water rises from the ground and flows among pandanus and trees, forming connected natural pools.
Boardwalks, steps and platforms make it easy to enter the water, and there is wheelchair access to part of the area. The pleasant temperature makes the springs popular for relaxing at the end of the day.
The area has lawns, picnic tables and toilets. A riverside trail links the springs to town.
In the wet season, when the river rises, the springs may close.
