About Florence Falls
Florence Falls is one of the best-known waterfalls in Litchfield National Park. Two parallel drops fall from the edge of the Tabletop plateau into a deep natural pool, surrounded by monsoon forest.
From the car park, a short boardwalk leads to a lookout above the gorge, with views of both falls. A staircase descends to the pool, where swimming is usually allowed in the dry season. Another, longer and flatter trail follows the creek down to the base.
The area has picnic tables, toilets and a nearby campsite. A trail links Florence Falls to Buley Rockhole, passing through the creek-side forest.
In the wet season the water volume increases and the swimming area may be closed.
