About Devils at Cradle

Devils@Cradle is located by the park access road, a few minutes from the visitor centre. It’s a sanctuary dedicated to the Tasmanian devil, a carnivorous marsupial found only on the island, and to two species of quoll, other carnivorous marsupials.

The sanctuary participates in conservation programs linked to the facial tumour disease that has affected many wild devil populations, and breeds healthy animals to help ensure the species’ survival.

Visits are guided and explain the animals’ lives and behaviour. Night visits, when the devils are more active, include feeding time, when you can hear the screams that gave the species its name.

Entry is paid and the night visit requires a reservation; check the current fees.
