The city

What to expect from Kununurra.

Town in the eastern Kimberley region, near the border with the Northern Territory, established in the 1960s with the Ord River irrigation project. It is the base for Lake Argyle, boat trips on the Ord River and Mirima National Park, right beside town. Scenic flights over Purnululu National Park, with the striped domes of the Bungle Bungles, also depart from here — about 250 km away.
